The Land of Painted Caves by Jean M. Auel... One minor nit

.
.

The Land of Painted Caves: A Novel (Earth's Children)Just a minor nit with the new book...

Before they reached the fork in the trail, a young woman near the
front suddenly stopped, her eyes opening wide as she stood perfectly
still, staring ahead. She pointed with her chin, not wanting to move.
“Look! Over there!” she said in a hissing whisper of fear. “Lions!”

BUT, I'm not interested in editing the whole book. I just want to enjoy it! I hope you can too by turning the writer/editor off . I know it's hard.

Time to be a, reader not a writer.

And this quote sums up how I felt when I read the five previous books in the Earth Children's Series: They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel."

The Morning Munchies Quotes for Writers ~ Jean M. Auel...

The Land of Painted Caves: A Novel (Earth's Children) Author, Jean M. Auel, is due to release her book on the 29th of March, 2011, so It's time to celebrate!

Here's some quotes from one of my favorite writers (and hopefully one of yours)...

The Clan of the Cave Bear (Earth's Children, Book One)I can move my characters through it easily, because I understand the background; I've really studied it.

I probably read 100 times more than I write, but that way when I move my characters through it, I know.

The Valley of Horses (Earth's Children, Book Two)And that's how I start myself. I usually go back a couple of pages, maybe to the beginning of the chapter, and I start reading. And as I'm reading, I'm tweaking - putting in a different word, changing the syntax, putting that clause over there, you know that sort of thing.

The Mammoth Hunters (Earth's Children, Book Three)I started writing to please myself, a story I would like to read, and that is still true.

And...

The Shelters of Stone. Jean M. Auel (Earths Children 5)Life sometimes gets in the way of writing.
